If you are thinking you will never find your dream career move - think again!
Let's take a recent lesson from the field of genome science.
When the Human Genome Project closed in 2003, genome sequencing was then costing tens of millions of dollars.
However, genome scientists at Bethesda decided on a new objective!
So, what was this new dream?
It was the sequencing of human genomes for $1,000 apiece.
They converted the dream into a goal with a specific time scale for when they wanted to achieve it.
The next stage was to draw up specific plans as to how they might convert the dream into reality.
Finally, of course they had to put in the work!
At the time of its conception, the realisation of the dream was considered so far off as to be almost fictional.
Nevertheless in 2014 it happened!
Now, nearly 10 years later the reality has revolutionised biomedical research and clinical practice.
Never stop dreaming!
