There is a story about two shoe salesmen that perfectly illustrates the point and shows how different thinking can lead to amazingly different results.
A shoe company sent two salesmen to an island in the Caribbean many years ago.
When they reported back, the first one said, "Nobody wears shoes - so we won't sell any shoes here."
The other one said, "Nobody wears shoes yet - so we have a fantastic sales opportunity."
Think differently and your results will make you stand out from the crowd!
It can even make a difference to your state of mind when you are in job search mode.
You can either think, "Nobody is responding to my job applications." or "Nobody is responding to my job applications yet!"
The different frame of mind may well then encourage you to change your approach, to alter a word or a phrase here and there so that you DO receive responses.
