MAKING CAREER CHOICES.

MAKING CAREER CHOICES.

In September 2008, 15 years ago, as the recession was kicking in Proteus Careers decided to find out just how people make their first career decision. You can read the results here: https://lnkd.in/dN55u7Z.

Over 3 years we surveyed 540 clients - the first 15 people who came to see us each month.

The results were quite an eye-opener, not least because 33% of the sample, or 178 clients in all, took advice from other people: for 18% or 97 clients it happened by pure chance, but only 5 people or just under 1% sought the help of a professional career advisor!

As I say, quite an eye opener. Makes me wonder whether the statistics have changed over the last 15 years!
