Calling all business owners!
Reaching out to you with a transformative opportunity that can have a profound impact on your business and the broader community.

Before I delve into the details, consider this compelling thought: If you're stifling your yawns, what else have you been stifling throughout your life? It's a question that encourages us to reflect on the emotions and experiences we often suppress and acknowledge the major benefits of opening up.

Today, I embarked on a journey down a local Street in Rochdale town centre, engaging with local businesses and uncovered a stark reality:

The Mental Health Impact on Business today is profound.

When chatting to business in our local community, I was confronted with alarming statistics related to the economic decline of our local towns due to the profound effects of mental health challenges. These statistics encompass staff retention rates, sick leave data, workplace conflicts, low productivity, and high staff turnover, all of which have significant financial ramifications for small to medium-sized businesses.

One particularly poignant encounter revealed a business that was severely short-staffed, with four employees departing in recent weeks, leaving only three to manage daily operations. They were compelled to close their doors during lunch hours to afford their remaining staff a proper break, underscoring the toll on both well-being and the bottom line.

Moreover, an astonishing seven out of ten businesses had their front doors locked, requiring a knock for entry—a stark departure from the vibrant high streets of yesteryears. However, what struck me most was the overwhelming recognition of the mental health struggles affecting people they knew. Stress, anxiety, burnout, depression, fatigue, insomnia, feelings of overwhelm, loneliness, isolation, and grief were recurring themes in our conversations.

If you are a proactive, ‘Action Taking’ business, I am emphasizing the Importance of The Great Big Yawn Mental Health Fest:

The urgency of the event we've organized can’t be underestimated.  The need for the "Great Big Yawn Mental Health Fest,” has never been more apparent. It is abundantly clear that people are actively seeking solutions to the emotional and mental burdens they often bear. Employers, too, have a dual responsibility and business imperative to provide access to these solutions.

The business’s I have spoken with were receptive to the idea of working collectively to establish a robust support system for mental health, extending not only to employees but also to their families. We discussed the profound significance of emotional and mental well-being, recognising that when nurtured, it empowers individuals to perform at their very best in all aspects of life.

 Imagine the Impact:

Visualize a workplace where the support provided by your business positively impacts not only your employees but also their families, alleviating anxiety, stress, and hopelessness.

What if you could address these issues proactively every month, extending this support not only to employees but to their families as well? What if this support was not only straightforward but also cost-effective, with the costs offsetting losses incurred due to sick leave and mental health issues?

Envision a workforce operating at peak performance over the next 12 months. What would this mean for your employees, your business, and your community?
The Opportunity Awaits:

I extend a personal invitation to consider this unique opportunity to make a substantial positive impact on others and your business.

Join us on 10th November,  for "The Great Big Yawn Mental Health Fest", an event that promises to deliver tangible benefits on multiple fronts via multiple speakers.

By sponsoring 5 or 10 members of your staff to attend the event, at a cost of £250 for 5 or £500 for 10 people, you not only invest in their well-being but also in the future success of your company.

 What's in It for You:

- A workforce operating at its best within a year.

- Improved staff retention.

- Reduced sick leave and associated costs.

- A vibrant, healthy local community.

- Positive contributions to your country's well-being.

The event is located at The Red Hall Hotel, Walmersley, Bury; it's a rewarding a valuable use of your time to be curious, ask questions, and gain valuable skills, tips, and knowledge to take away.  Now more than ever before, we need to be face to face, communicating and finding new paths forward to positively impact mental health positively & productively.

Continuing the Journey:

This initiative doesn't conclude with the event. You have the opportunity to appoint a Yawn Ambassador who can continue the process throughout the year. They will be invited to online information & training sessions and sessions to progress and develop this idea throughout 2024.

I you want a deeper dive into the benefits of yawning.. click the link below and consider some ongoing ideas that could be incorporated into your business now:

 - Organise yawn workshops where your employees can learn more about the benefits of yawning and engage in group yawns, combined with energy techniques for enhanced stress relief and emotional balance.

 - Introduce "Yawn Breaks" during the workday, where everyone takes a few moments to yawn together, fostering a sense of unity and refreshment.

 - Teach your employees how to use yawning as a stress management tool, offering a collective yawn session as a remedy when stress levels rise.

 - Encourage your team to incorporate yawning into their mindfulness routines, utilising the power of a mindful yawn as a mental reset button.

Incorporating yawning into your workplace culture aligns with your goal of promoting well-being among your employees. It's a simple yet scientifically backed tool that can lead to a happier, healthier workplace.

I invite you to join us in making a positive impact on the mental health and well-being of your employees. Let's work together to yawn our way to a more productive, supportive, and thriving workplace.

Thank you for considering this opportunity, and I look forward to the possibility of collaborating with you to create a more mentally healthy and successful workplace.
