Another lesson from my great uncle Ernest.

Another lesson from my great uncle Ernest.

My great uncle Ernest had a very successful commercial career. I was not surprised therefore when, at age 89, he uttered the following words. "This fridge isn't very efficient, I'm going to town to order a new one." (It was well before the days of the Internet!)

Most people that age say, "This fridge isn't very efficient, but it'll see me out."

In your career, in your life, always look forward - there is always a new adventure round the corner. "But that's like burning the candle at both ends," I hear you say. "Isn't it time to relax in your old age?" To which my rejoinder is, "Do you really want some candle left over at the end?" Always focus on the future! #proteuscareermanagement #personaldevelopment #inspiration #careercoaching
