The critical factor - experience or attitude?

The critical factor - experience or attitude?

Ideally your interviewer will want to feel two levels of comfort if you are to receive an offer.

Your qualifications, background and experience need to be well suited to the role and your character traits, personality style and attitude must be a good fit with the culture and ethos of the organisation.

These two elements are sometimes separated into two interview stages, but which one comes first is at the interviewer’s discretion. It does raise the question however as to which one is more important.

Nowadays, particularly with the heightened awareness of emotional intelligence, it is attitude that wins every time for the vast majority of professional roles.

So if you are at the interview stage it's a good idea to take on board what Henry Ford implied - it is the sparkle in your eyes and the swing in your gait that are evidence of an enthusiastic attitude. #proteuscareermanagement #careercoaching #interviewskills
