Wow - fantastic news for Vodafone Network Services - this year they have been moved into "Gartners Magic Quadrant" as a result of the many improvenents and expansion of their global data network.
I am proud to have once been part of that team! - My job was to improve and expand the IPVPN network to push it in the direction of the "Magic Quadrant". I had to increase the number of countries covered by the old C&W network which Vodafone had purchased, by another 20 countries.
I initially had to select and prioritize the new site locations (and countries) and get this agreed with all the global sales teams. Next came the business cases, sign-off, funding and finally handover to the delivery teams.
So - a big thumbs up to this enormous effort and a pat on the back to the many people involved in making this happen for Vodafone.
