Nick aged 52 was MD of the UK subsidiary of a foreign electronics company. Great, but he could do the job in three days a week. “Bored out of my brain: life is passing me by” was how he put it!
During our discussion we explained how Proteus could help and he signed up for a full Career Development Programme.
The aim was to achieve a more challenging senior executive role, where he could use his highly developed strategic thinking skills to greater effect.
However, three months and several offers later, he and his wife decided they didn’t really want to move from their beautiful rural home. Quandary!
We spoke at length and he decided to use the on-going mentoring phase of his programme to the full: to work with his Proteus consultant to change the nature of his relationship with the parent company: to drive the company to greater success.
Within 3 years he increased t/o by 250%, broadened the product portfolio, secured an enhanced salary package and profit share and was really feeling fulfilled. The Career Development Programme could be said to have “failed”, but Nick released Proteus from its obligations and is one of our strongest advocates in championing our methodologies and our level of professional support. #proteuscareermanagement
