Over time, as an employee, human nature being what it is, most people gradually relax into a comfort zone: eventually they reach a state of detachment, just doing enough to satisfy their role responsibilities.

Firstly, this behaviour does nothing to help them avoid being part of the next employee cull, indeed it may even encourage it!

Secondly, if a cull does happen they are totally unprepared for it.

The lesson is to avoid comfort zones at all costs and above all to never stop proactively managing your career - after all it is your career that protects your future livelihood. #careermanagement #attitude #comfortzone #careeradvice #careerfutureproofing #proactivity
