When we finish our education we know all the theory and these days we’re pretty good at all the computer aided stuff - most of us anyway!
However, even as apprentices, we’ve never personally experienced the sometimes major consequences of failure when plans, systems, processes, machinery, principles or procedures break down or go wrong.
Then we get into the real world of business, commerce, industry or public service and we start to experience personally the consequences of failure.
But it’s not all bad - with experience comes wisdom - and we soon learn that failure is a really excellent teacher.
For most of us we quickly realise that our value as an employee or as an employer, the transferable skills we develop, the practical experience we gain is in direct proportion to the number of mistakes we make and the number of times things go wrong!
Don’t fear failure, embrace it, learn from it - it’s all part of becoming a better you. #personaldevelopment #careermanagement #careeradvice #failure
