As several famous people have said:
1) There are no traffic jams on the extra mile - Zig Ziglar.
2) No one ever attains success by simply doing what is required of him - Charles Kendall Adams.
3) One of the most important principles of success is developing the habit of going the extra mile - Napoleon Hill.
4) It’s never crowded along the extra mile - Wayne Dyer.
5) We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give - Winston Churchill.
The lesson, quite simply, is that if you work hard then you are undoubtedly on the road to success. However, a couple of additional reflections from one of my mentors makes success even more likely.
A) Yes, work hard but also work smart by offering and by doing more than is expected of you.
B) Remember, the adjective 'hard' in front of 'work' doesn't mean 'busy'.
