When Dale Carnegie published "How To Win Friends And Influence People" in 1936 he offered us a codex of 30 principles, the first of which was “Don't criticise, condemn or complain."

When managing your career it pays to be thoughtful when engaging with those around you: be sensitive to their feelings.

Let your emotional intelligence come to the fore. You are respected by first showing respect: use the Golden Rule - treat others with your values and you'll be quite pleasantly surprised by what you receive in return: honesty, commitment, integrity, compassion, loyalty, appreciation and courtesy.
