Are your career plans ready for the future?

You may think you can predict how technological change, global politics, artificial intelligence, global pandemics and man's increasing longevity might affect your career.

However, even the cleverest among us get it wrong sometimes, as Bill Gates clearly did when he said about computers, "640k ought to be enough for anybody".

Even if you don't like change, it will happen, so get ready for it. Successful people don't always get their decisions right, but the one thing they always do is to have a contingency plan, a plan B in place just in case things go pear shaped.

Do you have a back-up plan that will future proof your career and protect your livelihood against adverse future trends? If not, then maybe it's time you did.
