Use of the talking version in an interview by either interviewee or interviewer is absolutely guaranteed to distract the other person and to send them wool gathering.
Instead of focusing on what is being said and actively listening we become distracted by the thought, "Could I work with someone like this?"
As one of my mentors keeps reminding some of the clients he coaches, "A good habit to cultivate is that of talking less and saying more."
