If you think you know it all, there is no incentive to learn. Think about lifelong learning as follows:
If you don't learn you won't grow.
If you don't grow you won't be open to change.
If you don't change you won't succeed and you may not even survive.
Of course if you don’t want to learn new things, it's not wrong, but you do then lay yourself open to elimination.
Not the most encouraging thing to hear for those who take their careers seriously.
If you learn you will improve, you will gradually become more and more relevant to your industry, you may even be promoted and one day if redundancy is being considered by your organisation you stand a much better chance of surviving. "No, we absolutely can't include (your name) in the group we're letting go - she/he is far too valuable an employee."
