If you want a successful career it’s quite important that you believe in yourself.
I’m sure we’ve all heard Henry Ford’s famous quote, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can't – you're right.”
It emphasises pointedly how much our attitude determines success or failure.
Another way of putting it is: “You can if you think you can.”
Either way, you have to believe in yourself if you are to succeed.
Throughout life you will meet all sorts of “naysayers” - they might be teachers, colleagues, employers, even family members.
How you deal with them, how you respond to them, will determine to a large extent your feeling of personal well-being and the greater that feeling the happier and more successful you are likely to be.
How to deal with such people?
The best advice I ever heard was from a mentor of mine - two words - “ignore them.”
